Child
protection policy
St Nicolas Church PCC is committed to ensuring that the Safeguarding
of Children and Young People is a priority across all church
related activities. To that end it has fully endorsed the
adoption of the 'The Care and Protection of Children' Diocese
of Guildford 2008 Policy and Procedures.

St Nicolas Parent and Toddler Group
Our parent and toddler group is a friendly
environment for any parent, grandparent or carer and their toddler
to come on a Friday
morning during term time, 10.00am to 11.30am.
Entrance is £1.00 per family and includes tea, coffee,
juice and biscuits. It is a great time to play, talk, do
crafts and sing, whether a toddler or maturer in years!

Kids of Faith! @ St Nicolas Church
For youngsters from 4(ish) to 10 age group approx.
We meet in Church by the Font (just on the left as you come in)
then head off to the Church Rooms on the Second and Fourth Sundays
and (when there is one) Fifth Sunday of each
month from 10.00am
to 11.00am for group activities.
We look at bible stories, play games and usually make some
sort of craft.
The children normally return to church for a blessing at the
end of their meeting to coincide with the end of the morning
service, and then sit under the organ pipes.
On the First and Third Sundays of the month they stay in Church
for the Family Service and take an active part in the worship.

Pathfinders
Pathfinders aims to help young people
aged 10 to 14 grow in the Christian faith.
We meet on the Second
and Fourth Sundays and (when there
is one) Fifth Sunday of each month in St Nicolas Church Rooms from
10.00am to 11.00am during the morning service.
We enjoy games, crafts, quizzes, food and fun and learn about
faith along the way.
We also have social events each month on a Saturday evening.
All are welcome to come when they can and bring along friends.

ACTs is a group for 14 to 18(ish) year olds.
We meet on the Second and Fourth Sundays
and (when there is one) Fifth
Sundays from 7.30pm to about 9.00pm
in the Hazelwood Room (that is the church room next to the office).
We will look at some Bible passages, discuss and debate, play
the odd game and most importantly eat CAKE!
This is a chance to talk about what we can do, the church and
Christianity with people your age .... and have a bit of fun
at the same time, so we would love to see you there.
