The Parish of Cranleigh is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.
We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Guildford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
Katherine Tuck is the Parish Safeguarding Officer.
She works with the PCC and leaders of church groups to ensure that the Parish applies the Diocesan Safeguarding policy and procedure. Katherine ensures members of the church involved with children and adults with safeguarding needs, are recruited correctly and trained to the appropriate level.
She believes that the church should be a place in which the most vulnerable individuals, adults or children, are safe and feel supported. Katherine continues to work in the role to help St Nicolas remain a safe place. If you have concerns, please contact Katherine directly:
